I hope you enjoy the blue sky and fresh air without the fine dust that was bothering you.

To get to the point, the April runner of the monthly compliment relay has been selected to actively praise your co-workers and create a positive work culture!!

This April, we're honored to have Youngjung Kim, a senior researcher in the CTI division of the lab, as our April runner-up! (Smile!)

Let's take a look at the interview with Mr. Youngjung Kim, who took over the April Compliment Relay Baton.

 

 

Q1. How long have you been with the organization and what kind of work do you do?

 

I was able to join MONITORAPP in the summer of 2019 after a conversation with Mr. Hyunmok Kim, who is currently the technical director of the lab.

It was a difficult time for me personally at the time, and I've always been grateful for the opportunity.

Currently, I am the head of the CTI division of the research center, and I am working hard to lead the TI team and TA team of the CTI division.

The TI team, which stands for Threat Intelligence, is responsible for developing and stably operating AICC,

a threat intelligence platform that collects, analyzes, processes, and distributes information on various cyber threats,

and the TA team, which stands for Threat Analysis, is responsible for analyzing and quickly responding to various cyber threats.

Q2. If you've been working at MONITORAPP since 2019, you've been feeling the culture and mood of MONITORAPP for about 4 years.
How would you describe the culture and mood at MONITORAPP?

 

MONITORAPP is growing together with talented people from various backgrounds and experiences. Thanks to this, it seems that it continues to grow and continues to maintain a bright mood.

The culture used to be a bit rigid, but we're transforming into a more flexible culture, and I think that's due in part to the enthusiastic new hires.

On the other hand, while I love the friendly and open atmosphere, I sometimes feel that it can be a bit lacking in consideration.

We look forward to seeing a better culture and mood through the efforts of management and many members who actively share the company's goals and visions and lead the mood of everyone cooperating.

Q3. Thank you for sharing more details about your experience with MONITORAPP's culture.
Switching gears a bit, how does it feel to be selected as a Compliment Relay runner?

 

To be honest, I was quite embarrassed at first. I thought to myself, "Did I really have the attitude to be praised?" and I felt very happy and grateful.

It's a very nice experience to have someone recognize you and praise you. I also think it's because Ky Kim, a senior researcher always looks at me in a good light.

I will use these compliments as motivation to perform better and work harder and constantly improve. Thank you again. :)

Q4. What do you think is the reason why you were selected as a Compliment Relay Runner?

 

I try to be a good listener to others. We often talked about the company's culture and atmosphere outside of work, and I think it's because I listened carefully and empathized with Ky Kim.

Also, I think it was good to see that you took notes and reminders to make sure you didn't miss anything, and that you were proactive in new areas.

Regardless of the reason, I will always try to contribute to the company by actively participating and working hard.

 

 

Q5. What are your goals for MONITORAPP in 2023?

 

Currently, the web firewall is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of MONITORAPP.

My long-term goal is to bring to mind the 'AICC' threat intelligence I'm in charge of as well.

If we've been trying to put in place a system for stable operations, I think it's time to upgrade.

To that end, I will be actively working on security.

As part of this, I would like to professionalize the AICC Portal, which is the face of the CTI sector.

We also want to create a background and capability in CTI that is comparable to companies that specialize in threat intelligence.

To do so, we will need to continuously monitor new threats and develop countermeasures,

acquire skills and knowledge to improve our analytical capabilities, and improve our analytical tools and processes.

I will also actively promote information exchange and cooperation with various threat intelligence organizations and

continue to conduct information sharing and training activities.

One of our tangible goals is to join and cooperate with the Cyber Threat Alliance (CTA),

a non-profit organization established for the purpose of enabling major players in the global cybersecurity industry

to share cyber threat information and work together to combat security threats.

Q6. How would you like to see MONITORAPP grow in the medium to long term and do you have any wishes for MONITORAPP?

 

MONITORAPP will soon go public with its outstanding technology and growth. I hope that we will pursue sustainable growth as the value of the company increases.

To do so, I think we need to develop sustainable and innovative products and services through continuous R&D, and strengthen the underlying technology and creativity.

I would like to contribute to this sustainable growth with sincere and steady efforts.

In addition, in order for employees to fully demonstrate their abilities in an organization, it is important to give them clear goals and responsibilities,

but it is also important to provide support for their development and growth, reasonable feedback, and fair compensation.

If that happens, I think I will be able to feel happy at work and fully utilize my abilities.

Q7. Finally, what are the two keywords that you would recommend to a prospective MONITORAPP to join MONITORAPP?

 

Passion! Kwanghoo Lee, CEO's passion is amazing. I've been working with passion as a role model because of his attitude and behavior.

I believe that passionate people work with more focus and are able to find solutions to difficulties without giving up.

I am sure that this passionate attitude will enhance cooperation with team members within the organization and improve performance.

 

Growth! MONITORAPP is a growth organization and has been growing steadily.

A growth-minded organization provides opportunities to work in an environment that is always changing and evolving, giving you the chance to grow and excel.

I believe that these opportunities will enable me to perform at a high level within the organization and will allow the organization as a whole to develop and grow.

 


Senior researcher Youngjung Kim actively responded to the interview, so we were able to talk a lot,
