Compliment Relay January 2024 by Eunji Jeon, Associate Researcher of MONITORAPP

 
Hello, We're MONITORAPP.
Next week is the start of spring, which means the weather will be a little more mild. We'll just have to wait and see. :) One of the programs MONITORAPP ran last year with the goal of 'promoting work efficiency and motivation and building a positive work culture' was Compliment Relay. The program was so effective that we decided to run it again in 2024. Please stay tuned for the MONITORAPP Compliment Relay this year.   We'll start off with a nomination from Team Leader, Semoon Oh, of the Quality Innovation Team at the Product Management Headquarters, who won the Best Employee Award in 2023! (* MONITORAPP decides the Best Employee Award every December by employee vote.) Now, let's introduce the first Compliment Relay runner of 2024.   Our January compliment relay runner is Eunji Jeon, a associate researcher at the UX team in the Appliance division of the research center. (^_^^)   Let's get to know Eunji Jeon in an interview.  
 

Q1. Congratulations on being selected as the first Compliment Relay runner this year. Could you tell us a little bit about yourself?

  hello. I'm Eunji Jeon, a associate researcher. I joined the company in November 2017, so it's been over 6 years. Currently, I am working in the UX team in charge of the UI of the Physical Appliance product among MONITORAPP products.  

Q2. As I recall, you received a longevity award for 5 years of service last year. I'd like to ask you to tell us about the MONITORAPP culture you've felt during your 6 years of service.

  The overall company atmosphere is warm, and I think the people I work with feel the same way. It's often said that the people at work are harder than the work, but at MONITORAPP, it's nice to be able to work in an mood where we can laugh together. :) Also, I would like to say that MONITORAPP has a culture and atmosphere where people of various ages coexist, but always communicate with each other without pretense, which is the culture and atmosphere I have felt for 6 years.  

Q3. How does it feel to be selected as a Compliment Relay runner?

I was selected as an outstanding employee last year, so I didn't expect to be selected as a compliment relay runner from the beginning of this year. It's nice to be recognized, so thank you for the recognition!    

Q4. What do you think is the reason why you were selected as a Compliment Relay runner?

  I think it's because I try to complete my work with a sense of responsibility for my work, which is why I voluntarily work overtime. I don't want to harm other teams and people, and my sense of responsibility for my work is imprinted on the people around me, and I think that's why I was selected for the Praise Relay.  

Q5. What do you most want to accomplish at MONITORAPP in 2024?

  Probably because I have seniority... For reference, I have the highest seniority in my team after the team leader, so I want to help my teammates improve their skills more than anything else, and I want to play the role of a reliable eldest brother to the team leader. Of course, personally, I would like to develop more eyes for the forest. My goal is to develop more future-oriented development, not just the features that are needed now.  

Q6. How would you like to see MONITORAPP grow in about 5 years and what do you wish for MONITORAPP?

  I'm looking forward to seeing the company move beyond the top spot in Korea and into the global market. In my opinion, as the company grows, the welfare for employees is getting better and better. In fact, I'm satisfied with the current welfare that I couldn't ask for more.    

Q7. What are the two keywords that you recommend joining MONITORAPP?
