MONITORAPP's September Compliment Relay is here again, and the culture of complimenting coworkers is steadily taking hold. (Ta-da~)
This month's recipient is Mr. Dongho Lee, a senior researcher in the App1 team of Appliance.
Let's take a look at the ninth compliment relay winner, Mr. Lee, through an interview.Q1. Could you briefly introduce yourself?
hello. I'm Dongho Lee, a senior researcher in charge of developing and maintaining Appliance web firewall in the app1 team of the Appliance division.
I've been with MONITORAPP for just over two years, and along with my responsibilities as mentioned above, I'm also a team leader and strive for the growth of our team members. :)
Q2. Since you've been here for over two years, how would you describe the culture and atmosphere of MONITORAPP from a team leader's perspective?
The first thing that comes to mind is that MONITORAPP is an organization that doesn't just listen to the opinions of its employees, but thinks about them together and improves them in a better way.
It is true that it is not easy to do that as the company continues to grow and the number of employees increases, but I can feel that they are making an effort to communicate.
On the other hand, the research institute where I work is generally quiet because of the development work.
I'm personally satisfied with that because I often need to focus on my work.
Q3. You were selected as a Compliment Relay runner in September, how did it feel to be selected? And what do you think made you a Compliment Relay runner?
It's always nice to be praised in any situation. I've had a lot on my plate lately, and it's nice to see that I'm still trying to get things done.I'll take it as a sign that I'm doing a good job and will continue to do my best.
Q4. Do you have any goals for MONITORAPP and as a team leader in 2023?
I'd like to say that my first goal is to increase product compatibility and stability in my work, so that I can quickly respond to customer needs and issues to ease the burden on my colleagues who have related work. Another goal is to actively coach and grow team members who need to grow, and to promote their personal development.
Q5. How would you like to see MONITORAPP continue to grow in the future?
There is a saying that the best welfare is good coworkers. It's not an easy task, but I hope to become a company with many good people by actively recruiting good people with competence and good collaboration.
Q6. What are the two keywords that you recommend joining MONITORAPP?
MONITORAPP seems to be a great place for self-driven people to work. The keywords are autonomy and listening. Autonomy means that you can do your work in a way and plan that you or your team has agreed upon, unless there are special circumstances. In other words, it's a self-directed problem-solving environment where you can be creative and take initiative. And the second thing is listening.
