MONITORAPP AT SINGAPORE TECH WEEK - Cloud Expo Asia!
You heard it right! MONITORAPP visited Singapore for the second time last October to participate in Singapore Tech Week – one of the largest exhibitions not only in Singapore but also in Southeast Asia. MONITORAPP was part of Cloud Expo Asia, where we showcased our All-in-One SaaS Solution – AIONCLOUD.
Singapore Tech Week (STW) is an annual event that celebrates and showcases the latest innovations in technology and digital transformation across various industries. It typically brings together global and regional tech leaders, entrepreneurs, startups, government representatives, investors, and academics to explore the future of technology and its impact on business, society, and the economy. The event often includes conferences, panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions, and networking opportunities focused on various tech sectors such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, cybersecurity, fintech, data analytics, and smart cities. It serves as a platform for thought leadership, collaboration, and sharing best practices within the tech ecosystem, while highlighting Singapore's role as a regional tech hub and its commitment to fostering innovation and digital transformation.
In the past two years, MONITORAPP and AIONCLOUD have expanded our presence in Southeast Asia by onboarding partners in the region – the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam – in addition to our long-time partners in Thailand and Malaysia. Singapore Tech Week – Cloud Expo Asia is a critical international exhibition for MONITORAPP and AIONCLOUD because it gathers clients, vendors, distributors, and resellers from the Southeast Asia region, helping us understand the market and its needs. Compared to last year, we gathered three times more leads and held one-on-one meetings with potential partners from the region.

MONITORAPP AT THE GITEX 2024 in DUBAI
Just like Singapore, this was also MONITORAPP’s second time in Dubai for GITEX 2024! As we did last year, we flew directly from Singapore to Dubai! After successfully onboarding new partners we met at GITEX last year, we were happy to participate again this year through KOTRA’s Korea booth
This year, we were visited by our partners from the Middle East and African regions -ABS MENA and LITHE SD – which made our participation in this exhibition even more meaningful.

WHAT IS GITEX?
GITEX (Gulf Information Technology Exhibition) is one of the largest and most influential technology events in the Middle East, held annually in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It serves as a major platform for showcasing the latest innovations in the tech industry, attracting global tech companies, startups, investors, and government entities from around the world.
GITEX typically features a wide range of technology sectors, including artificial intelligence (AI), Blockchain, cybersecurity, cloud computing, smart cities, 5G, robotics, Fintech, and more. The event is a mix of exhibitions, conferences, product launches, and networking opportunities.

Having attended both exhibitions, here are the impressions of Kurt, our Tech Support and Product Manager for both Singapore Tech Week and GITEX 2024:
Being a rather extroverted engineer, I sometimes have the privilege of joining the Sales and Marketing teams at conventions to do demos of AIONCLOUD and MONITORAPP Appliances. So, last October, when I was asked to attend a two week trip to both Singapore and Dubai, I could not have felt more fortunate.
The first stop on the trip was the Cloud Expo Asia in Singapore. I was thrilled to get the chance to work the MONTORAPP booth at such a world renowned location. Singapore certainly lived up to the hype; the convention was downtown, close to many iconic locations associated with the futuristic city, such as the vertical gardens, the Merlion, and the MBS Mall/Skypark. It was wonderful working with the numerous attendees that came from all over the world, and I also got to meet up with some of our company partners as well. Showcasing the AIONCLOUD Platform had an overwhelmingly positive response there, and many of the people I talked to were impressed with how many services were contained within the platform, helping reduce the complexity of security operations.
From there, we moved on to Dubai, and even my high expectations of the GITEX convention could not have prepare me for what we were about to experience. Earlier that year, I had been to RSA in California, and I assumed it would probably be the largest convention I would ever attend. However, I was wrong, and the scale of GITEX almost made RSA feel small. The convention included much more than IT and cybersecurity booths: there were flying cars, humanoid robots, and self-driving F1 cars. There was also non-stop engagement at our booth with attendees that wanted to see our appliances and cloud-based platform. Not only is there a large demand for cybersecurity in the growing economies of the region, but attendees were keen to find alternatives to other vendors that had fallen short of their expectations. We made some excellent new contacts, spent time with partners that were in attendance, and completely ran out of all promotional material by the close of the event.
